Buddies Have A safe Holiday.

All buddies please be cautious and safe during this holiday season.If you are going to the (Mall )shopping go in pairs or with your spouse.Be aware of your surroundings.Wear your purse close to your body.This is the time of year when people are desperate.There are a lot of muggings,breakins(homes and cars)around this time of year cause people are watching for ladies shopping alone and especially the elderly are vulnerable for scams and robberies.So please be safe and eat and enjoy your families.Many may have family and friends coming from out of town.I pray they arrive safe.I pray that god gives them traveling mercy.And please try to fit in a few workouts during this week cause the holiday dinner can undo all our hardwork if we don’t watch it.lol.

Think about the aged men and women in the nursing homes or that runaway teenager standing out in the cold, prostituting and  selling her soul.

Remember that housewife, who fears her husband and stays to raise the children sacrificing her own happiness and possibly her life.

Remember the  families whos sons and daughters will not come home for the holidays while they mourn and put flowers on thier graves.

Remember The widows,orphans,fatherles children and those addicted to drugs,pray for them and please don’t judge.

So as we give thanks for a bountiful meal and all it’s trimming and laugh and take snapshots of families and friends.

Remember how things could have been.

Remember we are not promised another day so take time to be grateful and pray.

My mothers uncle Passed Away This Morning.

Guys please pray for my mom.Her uncle died early this morning in Arkansas..She is very upset and usually she takes her frustration out on me.She has a table tray and i fix her meals and put them on them.Well she hollered at me after she got the news and said i was spying on her casue i found an empty pop can in her bedroom window.I know she is upset and i have to walk sofltly today.So i love hear and i feel bad too but i need to give her some space.I will try not to laugh and i will stay out  of her way until she has time to process this.I know my poor mom feels helpless and she would like to go to Arkansas for the funeral but i would have to go with her and a train ride would be 24 hours and plane tickets cost too much for both of us..So please pray for us.I usually get the blunt of her anger even if someone is not dead.I just don’t no what to say to her without her snapping my head off.I know she is scared and thinking about her own death .I have gotten mad too when i hear of people dying especially children being murdered.Uncle Vernell had been sick for years.He had complete kidney failure and he was a diabetic.He had gout and other problems.He was 80(i think).And she got news that her(89 year old) mother in law had kidney failure and they have to put her in a nursing home straight from the hospital.She won’t live long either cause she has to get dialysis and that alone will kill her.She is older and not strong enough to go through the process..I feel so sad cause there is nothing i can do but pray.lol.

WHAT’S FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER.

Okay guys give me the low down on what you are cooking for the  thanksgiving dinner.Lord be willing i will do the traditional turkey and stuffing,macaroni and cheese,mustard greens,sweet potatoes,dinners rolls,cranberry sauce.I have to cook 4 homemade cheesecakes for family members,and we are having pop and  iced tea to drink.Those cheesecakes will be outa here the same day.family and friends are taking them home.I will eat one piece(yeah right i will try.) and give the rest of the one i have here at home away.Oh i may make my mom a homemade sweet potatoe pie.(store bought crust of course.)I have learned a trick to keep the weight off during the holidays.Work out the same night after the dinner and the next night and 2 more days after that.Believe me thanksgiving meals are probably over 2,000 calories.I am good about not going back for seconds. My family will end up taking most of the food home so i will not have a chance to pig out for days after the holidays.Hope everyone enjoys the holiday.You do not have to deprive youself of your favorite foods.Just eat less.

Women Who Inspire Me.

There are several women who are in great shape who inspire me.I just watched a great movie from 2007 with Miss Regina King.She is fit and beautiful.Also Oprah Winfrey,Phylisia Rashad.Janet Jackson,Toni Braxton,Tina Turner is in great shape for her age.Even though Oprah has put on weight i am inspired by how she managed to lose it and i believe she will do it again.Other women such as Jessica Simpson, Valeria Bertinelli,Pamela Anderson ,Jennifer Lopez  and i cannot count how many women that are in great shape.I don’t know of any women on a personal level who have lost weight that i can say have encouraged me to lose weight.I don’t understand why so many women in church have no motivation or desire to get in shape.The only women i have ever seen in a gym from our church was the pastors wife and that was years ago when her twin girls were small.Oh i am sorry,there is one and her name is Katrina.I went to her house for dinner one day.She had lost around 20 pounds then.I remember back in the day we would get together and go out to eat after church and whenever the choir went out of town we would stop and eat at a restarant and go home and go to bed on all that fattening food..Matter a fact they were selling hamburgers and hot dogs with chips after church today.I have been weight consious for a long time and i have been losing weight and trying to stay in shape since 1979 when i first got married.I think a lot of women get in church get married and get comfortable.Well i got the man so i can relax and not work out but that is not good.I did not start to gain a lot of weight until after i was diagnosed with hypothyroid disease.I went from hyperthyroid disorder to hypo.I went from 150 to 186 pounds within a year.I was working out and i was still gaining weight until i got on my meds and they had to be readjusted over the years.There were times i did not eat right but i have worked out for years to keep in shape whether i have a man in my life or not.So i am grateful to see women who are likeminded and care about how they look and thier health.It is not just about how you look it is to be healthy and i think some women(especially churh women)seem to ignore this.I had thought about getting together a group of sisters to come in and work out at my house and i have invited some in the past but they do not seem interested.I know some of them may go to the gym.We need to be well-rounded and not only god concsious but health and body conscious too.So ladies what women in your life or in music or television inspire you to work out?.Hey after seeing Miss Regina King in that movie i am going to go work out tonight and this is not my work out night.

DOWN 1 MORE POUND==150.0

Well i have lost one more pound.I thank god.That is all i have to say.

Getting ready for my workout

Well tonight is my workout night and believe me i need to get moving.i have been at home all day except when i went to the dollar store to pick up a few things.I need to buy a new glider.i may put one in the lawaway at kmart since meijers and walmart have done away with theres.I used to drink a lot of water but i do not have a thirst for it lately.I know water is so important to weight loss.I do drink around 64 ounces or more during my workouts 3 days a week but i need to drink more.I know other beverages count like tea,coffee,pop but water is more important.So lets get moving.I want to get back to working out 4 days a week but i tend to think that the workout has to be a hard aerobic workout to count.Maybe i should do 3 days of aerobics and 1 day of strength-training.That sounds great and it will not be such a strain cause i will give my joints time to rest.4 days to work out and 3 days to rest.iI just had an aha moment.lol.
